- descriptiongpu-screen-recorder gpu-screen-recorder is a screen recorder that has minimal impact on system performance by recording your monitor using the GPU only I’ve been using this software since I switched to Linux from windows. When I first installed linux I really missed Nvidia’s ShadowPlay, as I’ve been using that to record gaming moments, funny talks and etc. It was a really useful software. After a bit of searching I found out about gpu-screen-recorder and I installed it right away and have been using it since then.
