They recover surplus food, a large part of which would otherwise be thrown away, and redistribute it to charitable organizations and social centers taking care of people in need. In 2023, the 352 Food Banks from the FEBA network redistributed over 839,942 tonnes of food through 44,374 charitable organisations, assisting 12.8 million deprived people.
