FlipTech2021 Call for Moderators

FlipTech2021 is a free virtual gathering centered on "Looking Forward". The content of the conference is delivered in two parts: Pre-work followed by live discussion/expansion during the conference days. This conference will model the F-L-I-P model by shifting the instructional component to pre-conference work that attendees can view prior to conference day. Presenters are also expected to participate in a live chat, video conference or stream of their choice to discuss and answer questions about their topic during the scheduled session on a conference day. FlipTech2020 is in need of moderators to facilitate the scheduled chats with presenters that will take place on July 13th - 15th. As a moderator, you will only be committing to helping moderate a chat for one hour for one presentation. Specific duties of the moderator are: 1) Provide a Zoom link to be used on conference day (Full feature/paid account preferred) 2) Communicate at least once via email with the assigned presenter prior to the conference to introduce themselves and to ensure they have the necessary zoom link 3) Monitor the waiting room on conference day to ensure that any unproductive/unintentional participants (zoom bombers) are removes in a timely manner 4) Monitor the chat for participant questions 5) Generally facilitate the presenter by allowing the presenter to focus on interaction and attendees. In order to provide this virtual gathering free to all participants in this time of professional development need, honorariums are not available. The goal is a community of educators meeting the needs of the community of educators.
