"Report This Model" Functionality - GrabCAD Blog

GrabCAD is committed to building a professional and fun community of mechanical engineers. Online spammers are a direct threat to our vision. We've just introduced a feature to help combat this spam. In the past few weeks, we've been working hard to adapt to our rapidly expanding community. One of the problems we've encountered are spammers-- users who sign up and upload models which they do not have the right to upload and also users who upload bogus models or upload models multiple times. Hardi released our response to this issue last week, and the GrabCAD team has developed a solution: A "Report this model" button now appears in the top right corner of each model view. If there is a problem with any model (i.e. it is not the members original work, the file does not open, the file is uploaded multiple times etc...), please take the time to report the model as spam by clicking the button. Once you click on this button, this box will pop up. Take a second to let us know why the CAD Model is inappropriate.
