Portal Gun, in a 3D printer near you - GrabCAD Blog
Portal 2 computer game is fresh in the stores and apparently 67% of everyone who’s ever played it want to own the Portal Gun. Scott Bruins is no different so he just 3D printed one. Here’s what Scott had to say about it: "I am a big fan of Valve's Portal series and I've wanted to make the portal gun for some time now. The model was made using reference images found on the internet and screenshots from the game. The biggest concern when printing were the claws, they ended up being very fragile but look great." Scott’s printed version is 1:4 scale and you could make yours by downloading the portal gun CAD model. It’s not as elaborate as this version that must have taken hours to design, shape, put together, paint etc (the results are super impressive). Puzzled about the whole Portal Gun topic? Read about it at the official game wiki :)
