A confidence lesson I forgot to remember

Last week, I did my first stint of volunteering for the charity, Smart Works. For those who don’t know, they’re a national charity providing clothing and interview prep support for women who are unemployed. It might be that they’ve been out of the job market for a long time, or trying to re-enter the workforce after a prison sentence, or struggling with the cost of even getting to job interviews, stuff like that. The word ‘empowerment’ gets bandied around a lot, but it’s definitely deserved in the case of Smart Works.
