How do you work out 15 percent of something? - Answers

I always think of it in terms of money. If you have a dollar, 15 cents is 15%. To find 15% the easiest way to do it is to find 10% and then add another 1/2 to it. For example: $42.50 10% is $4.25 (just move the decimal) then you add 1/2 of $4.25 or $2.12 to the original $4.25 to get 15%. If you are finding 20% simply double the 10%. Super easy for finding tips :-) HTH
