How do you do fraction multiplacation? - Answers

I can tell you, just keep reading! ok. 9/10 x 4/5=? The denominators have to be the same!So u have to find the LCD (make sure you know what LCD is) the multiples or factors (not sure I forgot) for 5 is 5,10,15,20 for 10 is 10,20,30,40. The ones that are the same are 10.So you have to multiple 5 by ? to = 10............................... 5x2=10 so whatever you multiply by the denominator u have to do by the numerator so u have to multiple 4 by 2 (4x2=?) (4x2=8) . So you should have 9/10 x 8/10 =? Now all you have to do is multiply the numerators. 9 x 8 =?....................... 9 x 8=72. So now u have 72/10 BUT 72/10 is an improper fraction so now u have to divide 10 into 72 and u get 7 remainder 2 so now u have a mixed number ( a whole number and a fraction) so now the answer is 7 & 2/10. Thankyou!
