Haven't yet found this answer anywhere yet. But a cylinder has got 3 faces. The idea of the hollow sphere does not lead to 6 surfaces as 2 of them are the same in the cases of inside and outside, i.e. the end edges, so 4 would be the correct answer for a hollow sphere.
