Lindsay met her husband at a wedding, where she felt seen by him, and the relationship moved quickly from there. Lindsay felt like they had two lives, one impacted by her partner's gambling addiction trips, and the other when they were at home. Over time, the addiction took its toll, and the putdowns, name-calling, gaslighting, and eventual physical abuse ramped up.
