Despite extensive searches and a reward for information, no leads emerged. On March 27, 2017, Evansville police discovered a decomposed body in a vacant home on South Bedford Ave. Two days later, the body was identified as Aleah Beckerle, and shortly thereafter, Terrence Roach was arrested in connection with the case.
