If you want to get a doduo in Pokemon platinum there are two ways: 1.you can catch it in another game (Fire red leaf green etc.) then transfer it to platinum (look in instructions on how to transfer Pokemon.) 2.you can talk to dawns sister in her house she will say that there's alot of (a type of Pokemon) at a sertain rout then if you go there youcan catch it but these inly last a single day so act fast. problems:she might not say doduo just keep talking to her until she does.
