How do you get past chapter 17-2 on the golden compass ds? - Answers

Although I have not accomplished it, I have read that you strike the flies as the cat, then changed into the owl and pick up the flies and drop them on the monkey, then change back into the cat and attack the monkey. I've only managed it two times in one sitting and the monkey is still there so I don't know how many times you have to do it before that dang monkey dies!!!
