I'm Australian. That means my internet's slower than that in most third world nations, but I have a couple lucky friends who have what I consider maddeningly fast internet, at maybe 10/10 Mbit/s. Sick of going to my friends place, bringing all my drives, only to find that my laptop wouldn't connect to anything till 10 minutes before I had to pack up, I decided I needed to make a small box that holds all I need to syphon off someone's data before bringing it home sneakernet style, emptying it, then setting it back up. The end result is a Orange Pi One, a Nexx WT3020h mini wireless router, a 10A 12-5v DC step down board, a usb to sata adaptor, a old 500GB 2.5", a 128GB micro sd card, and lots of other bits and bobs to hold it all together, all shoved in a 10x10x20cm plastic storage box because I couldn't decide on what sort of case I'd make for it (Now I wanna go build like 5 more, one for each case idea).
