Whether%20you’re%20into%20cute%20and%20quirky%20or%20dark%20and%20dramatic,%20the%2013%20Days%20of%20Craftoween%20is%20packed%20with%20creative%20potential.%20Each%20day%20unveils%20a%20new%20mini%20crafting%20treasure%20designed%20to%20help%20you%20conjure%20up%20cards%20and%20more%20—%20all%20perfect%20for%20October%20makes%20and%20haunted%20happenings.%20Ready%20to%20peek%20behind%20Door%202?%20Today%20we’re%20featuring%20a%20project%20by%20Marie%20Heiderscheit.%20Catch%20up%20on%20all%20the%20spooky%20surprises%20and%20creative%20inspiration%20from%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20countdown:%20Day%201%20From%20cute%20critters%20to%20haunted%20houses,%20each%20reveal%20is%20packed%20with%20frightfully%20fun%20inspiration%20you%20won’t%20want%20to%20miss!%20Welcome%20to%20Day%202%20of%20Spellbinder’s%20Craft-O-Ween!%20The%20Day%202%20die%20set%20features%20the%20creepiest%20(and%20CUTEST)%20little%20crow%20in%20a%20top%20hat%20and%20monocle.%20There’s%20also%20a%20skull%20included%20in%20the%20set%20that%20our%20crow%20friend%20can%20perch%20on.%20Join%20me%20as%20I%20give%20a%20step-by-step%20on%20how%20to%20put%20this%20crow%20together%20with%20a%20color-block%20background%20for%20a%20fun%20Halloween%20card!%20First,%20we%20want%20to%20cut%20out%20and%20assemble%20all%20the%20little%20pieces%20for%20this%20little%20guy.%20The%20folder%20the%20set%20comes%20in%20has%20a%20picture%20of%20the%20finished%20project%20for%20you,%20as%20well%20as%20all%20the%20dies%20shown%20with%20the%20outline%20of%20where%20the%20dies%20are%20placed%20on%20the%20packaging%20sheet.%20This%20is%20so%20helpful%20when%20you%20want%20to%20keep%20all%20your%20dies%20organized!%20Since%20the%20dies%20in%20the%20set%20are%20small%20enough,%20I%20am%20pulling%20cardstock%20colors%20from%20my%20scrap%20bin%20today.%20Great%20way%20to%20use%20up%20scraps!%20Here%20are%20my%20pieces%20all%20cut%20out.%20Some%20of%20the%20die%20pieces%20I%20cut%20twice,%20like%20the%20monocle.%20This%20is%20so%20I%20can%20cut%20two%20different%20colors,%20and%20then%20layer%20the%20pieces%20together.%20So%20instead%20of%20just%20one%20color,%20I%20can%20craft%20the%20monocle%20to%20have%20a%20separate%20color%20for%20the%20string%20and%20the%20circle%20part.%20I%20also%20cut%20the%20wing/beak%20die%20twice,%20once%20in%20black%20for%20the%20wing%20and%20once%20in%20yellow%20for%20the%20beak.%20It’s%20up%20to%20you!%20Change%20up%20the%20colors%20however%20you%20want!%20Here’s%20our%20feathered%20friend%20all%20assembled.%20I%20gave%20him%20a%20dark%20brown%20top%20hat%20with%20red%20accents.%20Next,%20we%20need%20to%20create%20a%20background%20for%20our%20crow.%20I’m%20going%20to%20use%20one%20of%20my%20favorite%20techniques%20for%20bold%20and%20playful%20backgrounds-%20color%20blocking!%20I%20chose%20three%20colors%20of%20Distress%20Oxides%20and%20grabbed%20some%20tape%20and%20an%20ink%20blending%20tool.%20To%20begin%20a%20color-block%20background,%20you’ll%20just%20block%20off%20areas%20to%20fill%20in%20with%20color.%20So%20I%20used%20tape%20to%20block%20off%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20background%20at%20an%20angle,%20and%20then%20applied%20the%20Black%20Soot%20with%20my%20ink%20blending%20tool.%20Once%20you%20have%20the%20area%20completely%20blended,%20carefully%20remove%20the%20tape,%20and%20then%20place%20it%20down%20on%20top%20of%20the%20color-blocked%20area%20right%20along%20the%20edge%20of%20the%20color.%20Then,%20you%20can%20add%20another%20piece%20of%20tape%20at%20another%20angle%20(you%20can%20choose%20your%20angles%20and%20however%20many%20block%20to%20color!)%20and%20fill%20that%20in%20with%20color,%20as%20well.%20For%20the%20second%20block,%20I%20used%20the%20color%20Candied%20Apple,%20and%20the%20third%20and%20top%20block%20you%20see%20in%20the%20above%20picture%20is%20the%20color%20Saltwater%20Taffy.%20Pink%20for%20Halloween?%20I%20think,%20YES!%20That’s%20it%20for%20a%20color-block%20background!%20Easy%20to%20do,%20and%20fun%20to%20choose%20different%20color%20combinations.%20I%20chose%20the%20black%20and%20red%20because%20I%20was%20inspired%20by%20the%20Gothic%20feel%20of%20the%20crow,%20and%20then%20I%20added%20in%20the%20pink%20to%20lighten%20it%20up%20a%20little%20and%20help%20it%20feel%20more%20playful.%20Now%20we%20want%20to%20add%20the%20crow%20over%20the%20background%20to%20make%20it%20the%20main%20focal%20point.%20I%20die%20cut%20an%20arched%20piece%20of%20black%20cardstock,%20and%20penciled%20in%20where%20I%20wanted%20the%20sentiment%20to%20go%20before%20I%20stamped%20and%20heat%20embossed%20it.%20I%20just%20used%20some%20white%20embossing%20powder%20to%20emboss%20the%20sentiment.%20This%20white%20sentiment%20on%20the%20black%20cardstock%20pops!%20I%20arranged%20all%20the%20pieces%20on%20the%20front%20of%20my%20background%20using%20foam%20adhesive%20to%20add%20dimension.%20My%20crow%20and%20skull%20is%20placed%20on%20the%20left-hand%20side%20to%20help%20frame%20the%20sentiment.%20And%20that%20finishes%20the%20card!%20I%20would%20attac
