Above the Law is published by Breaking Media. Senior Editors Staci Zaretsky Staci Zaretsky became an editor for Above the Law in June 2011. She has written for ATL in various capacities since August 2010. Her writing has also appeared in other publications, such as POLITICO, Judgepedia, Lawyerist, and Ms. JD. Staci graduated from Lehigh University and Western New England University School of Law, where her writing was published in the Western New England Law Review. Before deciding to pursue writing as a full-time career, Staci worked at a small law firm. Staci has been featured on various television and radio shows, like CNBC’s Power Lunch, CBC News, NPR, CBS Radio News, and BBC Radio, among other programs. Joe Patrice Joe Patrice joined Above the Law in 2013. Joe received a degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Oregon and a J.D. from the NYU School of Law. From 2001, he worked as a litigator for both Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton and Lankler Siffert & Wohl, representing a variety of individuals, institutions, and foreign sovereigns in criminal and civil matters. Joe left legal practice in 2012 to pursue writing, contributing to numerous publications, including ATL, before joining the full-time staff. Kathryn Rubino Kathryn Rubino joined the editorial staff at Above the Law in 2015. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from New York University and her Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School. Beginning in 2003, Kathryn began her work as a litigator working at both Cahill Gordon & Reindel and Wilson Sonsini Goodrick & Rosati with a focus on class action and antitrust litigation.
