A Dimension Reflected, by Time Being
A Dimension Reflected by Time Being, released 12 April 2011 1. Everending 2. Dust of Sorts 3. Future Forming 4. In the Care of Knowing 5. Present Bending 6. Static Flow 7. As You Pass This Way 8. Time Being “In appreciation of the expression of the human perception of time. Being present in each moment. Valuing the timelessness of each second.” – Time Being On their first collaborative release, A Dimension Reflected, Jourdan Laik and Phillip Wilkerson present eight thought-bending, deep drifting tracks of pure ambient spaces, where electronic yet organic, expansive washes of sound, drifting chords and swirling synthesizer textures communicate the resonant beauty of time and timelessness. Laik and Wilkerson work together under the moniker Time Being, sharing a deep fascination about time and how we humans perceive it. “Our goal is to create tranquil and reflective ambient music suitable for relaxing, dreaming, thinking deeply and being in the present moment of time,” they explain. “The suspension of time in living in the moment, and the perception of eternity in every minute.” This concept of the time-suspending power of music is a discipline also explored by artists like Steve Roach, Robert Rich, Brian Eno, Robert Fripp, and Klaus Schulze. The music of Laik and Wilkerson taps into that same eternal flow. Combining electronic instruments with deep, rich effects processing, Laik and Wilkerson create subtle but purposeful compositions of soundscapes – or timescapes – that guide the listener’s attention to full awareness of the eternal present moment, while simultaneously suspending the subjective passage of time. Beatless—timeless—floating and quiet, A Dimension Reflected is music for mindfulness, for being present; it is Presence Music. ==================================== REVIEWS: "All tracks are brilliant in their own way" - Skarsnik, HeathenHarvest.org "this is a stunning celestial journey!" - Richard Guertler, Relaxed Machinery "profound ambient spaces and seas of bliss, which spacemusic fans will love. Recommended." - Bert Strolenberg, SonicImmersion.org "Beautiful music here" - Todd Zachritz, Goatsden "harmoniously inviting and eminently serene" - Morpheus Music Reviews "a velvety cocoon of classic ambient drifts" - John Shanahan, Hypnagogue.net "A beautiful find" - Sylvain Lupari, Synth&Sequences
