Lucy Squire on Build A Better Brain

I found this really interesting thank you - I'd not heard of the 2x2 model before, but it makes a lot of sense. I've been reading a lot by Dr Thomas Curran and his definition of perfectionism is one in which we have high standards due to not feeling good enough - he argues that we can have high standards without feeling like a failure if things aren't perfect, which matches with your description of the "ambitious achiever" sweet spot. He says that if that's the case, we're not actually a perfectionist, because we need those two aspects (high standards AND not feeling good enough) to fit the definition, which was an eye-opener for me! Thanks for sharing, you've made me want to dive deeper into the literature on this (again - I'm another recovering perfectionist!) x
