I see he was a rocket guy. I had a friend at McDonnell Douglas that worked on the Saturn third stage. Got my license from the test pilot for the ME 163 Comet rocket plane. Small world. Neil Armstrong flew gliders for fun, same kinds I did. But he was much better! Not sure how high the Sierra Wave goes, I think they have gone to about 50,000 ft there. Waves in Argentina go much higher: https://perlanproject.org/about/#history Plane is made in Oregon. Americans can still do some stuff. Embarrassingly, they needed money from Airbus to do it!
