Carey Capaldi

I am a retired systems engineer who started out in aerospace testing and debugging electronic systems for various military jets, planes and ships. Writing software was something I picked up and I wrote assembly code for Atari 800 as a hobby back in the early 80s. I leveraged this skill into writing code for an MC68701 microprocessor simulating weapon systems for submarine combat. I cut my teeth providing system admin support for a large network of computers Sun Microsystems, DEC and Data General. I ran the administration team for my company for many years. After the wall fell and peace broke out, I moved into Media and Entertainment working for various visual effects facilities and studios for most of my later career designing and building out large computing environments for processing television and theatrical feature content finishing up this chapter of my career at 20th Century Fox.
