Intra-tribe criticism really should be the winning strategy. It certainly is in theory, as you've shown. Maybe there's a lot more to be said about how to do it effectively. I tend to model my tribes as the only people with agency; opposing tribes are like a natural disaster. Thus intra-tribe criticism comes naturally. "Why are you talking about my antifa roommate smashing your coworker's car, when Trump is the real problem?" Because blue tribe was supposed to be the rational grownups, of course. They should know better. I don't feel like I ever made a dent in proto-wokeness back in 2014, only got excommunicated from Portland. Never got vegans to focus on effectiveness over purity, only got muted by everyone on the vegan forum. Intra-tribe criticism is the quick way to find out your tribe doesn't want you, or you don't want your tribe.
