when i opened the substack account i made a pact with myself - i will talk on substack about photography only no matter what. so, with that in mind, i would say this: you have the responsibility to talk about homes. you had your past experience in nigeria, you are affected by what happens in the world, you know that people are losing homes, you also know that there's hope (for the same people) that some day they will build one, you have information from people participating in your project, just start writing. this is your way of fighting injustice, this is your way of telling the world the stories. just do it. just start, no matter how small, it will grow. wish you all the best!
