Helene MacMillan on Jonathan Larsen’s Substack
It makes me crazy in everyday life when people say such things. It’s very similar to a person who says, “I knew the Lord wouldn’t let them get away with murdering my baby”. WTF! So this “God is good” indicates that God does stick his fingers in human lives. He just doesn’t do it in a way that’s actually helpful. He allowed the murder. But he’ll make sure that this individual will be punished. And here I thought that the same book said God will punish them after their dead. That sort of punishment was never good enough for me. Sounds like some believers feel the same way.
