How can you find the surface area of a solid? - Answers

if the shape is drawn to scale,(on paper) then measure the two side one width one length. when uve done that, multiply together. lets take a cube for example. the width of one face is 5cm and the lengh is 7cm times those together and 35cm squared is your answer.(make sure to wright squared as a small 2 at the top) to find out the whole surface area,(of this cube)times the answer(35 in this case) by 6 (it is 6 because that is how many sides are on a cube.) your answer would be 205 cm squared hope this helps!!! :P
