How do work out the mean mode range and median? - Answers

To work out the mean, add up of the numbers and divide the answer by how many numbers there are. To work out the mode, find the number that appears most in the list. There can be 2 modes or no modes at all. To work out the range, subtract the highest number in the list by the lowest number in the list. To work out the median, put all the numbers in numerical order and find the middle number. If there are a even number of numbers in the list, add the two middle numbers together and divide by 2. Hope this helps:D All is very well but this is not bad either so i edit it :edited by Abdul777 1) I think you mean ' how to you work out the mean, mode, range and median?' 2) This is very easy just remember Mode is most ---This means mode is basically the most common number in a series of numbers. Range is the biggest number in a pack minus (-) the smallest number in a pack Median is the middle number when put in a smallest to biggest order. Mean is the hardest but this is just adding all the numbers in a pack together divided by the amount of numbers. Imagine you have numbers 1,2,3,4,4,10 The mean would be 1+2+3+4+4+10 24 -------------------- = ------ = 4 6 6 The mode would be 4 because it is the most common number The median would be put them in order 1,2,3_Here would be the median between 3 and 4 because you cant have to middle numbers(3.5)_,4,4,10 The range would be 10-1=9
