How do you add fractiond? - Answers

What i always do is this. Let's say you are trying to add 1/4 and 3/7. First you need to find a common denominator. 4x7 is 28 so both of the fractions now have the denominator /28. now you multiply the numerator (1) and multiply the other fractions denominator. 1x7=7 then same thing with the other numerator 3x4=12. Now these are your new fractions 7/28 and 12/28. Now add 7+12=19. so your answer is 19/28
