Great points. This discussion points out a common human trait that we all suffer. We are all hypocrites. The same thing I may be against may be the exact same thing I am in favor of. The Trump/ Republican say they are all about free speech and removing racism but they censor anything that does not agree with their agenda. It is important for us to identify this habit in ourselves. When we identify this behavior, we should be mindful to correct it. I think it is fine to point this out to those with high levels of hypocrisy. The problem will be, the hypocrite will find every reason why they are right and you are wrong.
