A trailer coupling 1 which is composed of a coupling housing 2 which forms a coupling jaw 3 and in which a coupling bolt 5 is displaceably guided and can be lifted out of a closed position into an open position counter to spring force by means of an activation lever 6 which is equipped with a hand lever, a securing lever 13 which secures the coupling bolt 5 in the closed position interacting with the activation lever 6. In order to reduce the structural complexity and to increase the operational reliability, the activation lever 6 has a driver finger 10 for direct attachment to a driver stop 12 of the coupling bolt 5, and the securing lever is provided as a latch 13 which, on the one hand, is rotatably coupled to the coupling bolt 5 and on the other hand is coupled to the activation lever 6 in a rotatable and displaceable fashion by means of an oblong hole 14, said latch 13 bearing in the closed position with a supporting face 16 against a corresponding face 17 of the coupling housing 2. <IMAGE>
