The invention relates to a press in horizontal construction with in the press axis successively arranged molds, in which the piston part and the cylinder part of a pressing cylinder is attached to two opposing Presstraversen and the Presstraversen pressformseitig are each connected to a ram and the closure frame of the molds on a common Gestaenge are controllable by means of actuator. Thus, the pressing force acts evenly on the press molds arranged on either side of the press cylinder, and a uniform density is achieved in the pressed moldings. Fig. 1
