Thanks for the question! It depends on the strength of the individual entities after the spin-off. The new entities rarely take off like a rocket immediately after the split. However, that is exactly what happened with General Electric’s remaining three companies. Two took off within a year, the other took nearly two years. But all three are huge winners. In general, with (HON) Honeywell, I like to add ahead of the split schedule for mostly 2026. I was buying in 10 share increments when there was a pull back. With the Warner Brothers (WBD) upcoming split, I am taking a wait and see approach because of the two entities one is a likely a loser (network) and one a winner (movies) One of the two is going to get saddled with a bunch of debt, like $40B.
