Then start chankast with no iso loaded (or use the open lid command under the file menu) and go to File on the dreamcast menu (it is a dancing VMU). It will ask you to wipe/format the VMU in slot 1 and pick a logo. Just do as it asks and now you can save games! Enjoy.
