Does damage calculation occur with Zubaba Knight in Yu-Gi-Oh? - Answers

When two monsters battle, both monsters must remain on the field, for Damage Calculation to occur. If a monster leaves the field before Damage Calculation, then that particular battle step ends.If Zubaba Knight attacks a face-up defense positon monster, that monster is destroyed at the beginning of the Damage Step. The battle step ends there, no damage calculation occurs, no damage is dealt to either player, and Zubaba Knight may not declare another attack (unless if a card effect permits).
