Excellent. I really honed in on the word "secretary" which is the work I've done my whole life. Now I work at a university and the faculty are horrified by the word. I tried to put an old sign I found "SECRETARY" by the front desk and they gasped. They think it's demeaning. They don't want to burden staff with this work. Their desire to deny their privilege ironically contributes to the slow death of service work. People need jobs, and people need service. This is a pet peeve of mine because by saying "I won't make you do that" (usually a copy job), they are saying that my honest employment is shameful and subservient. I'm retiring in December, and the SECRETARY sign is on my wall at home :) Bring back offices, desk, lobbies, and companies that pay the overhead instead of having their staff login from home.
