Great article. What it is interesting is that the Genius Act also impacts the broader financial world, including crypto. Stablecoins use US Treasuries as collateral. With that clarity on stablecoins, the stablecoin market is likely to explode, and banks are now allowed to issue stablecoins as well. And with banks now being permitted to digital dollars (stablecoins), this is the first time since 1913 (the creation of the Fed) that any private party (banks) can issue dollars. It will make it easier for the US government to find buyers for their debt (US Treasuries). That will impact all investors (crypto or non-crypto) and present some interesting investment opportunities on both the crypto and non-crypto sides, as well as challenges for non-investors (inflation).
