I do agree that it was probably a studio note because test audiences were confused, and I likely would have been confused too on first watch! But may have made it rewarding to parse through over multiple watches. Kenji and I also thought the insane amount of debris flying around the night before the match was probably meant as a visual time marker (also humorous)
