After provoking something with Taiwan the US may attempt to block major Chinese trade routes. War for the pretend nuclear bomb threat reason against Iran might also help US interests. After a oil supply disruption in the Middle East and cutting off Russia, the US might be the last man standing economically on this planet. In about 100 years time, a highland tribe from New Guinea might come to the conclusion, that this is a monopolar world and that they are the sole superpower. This probably sounds funnier than it is meant to be.
