Rebirth (feat. Klaverson), by Asta Hiroki
Rebirth (feat. Klaverson) by Asta Hiroki, released 15 August 2025 1. Rebirth (feat. Klaverson) 2. Rebirth (Instrumental) In the final track to be shared prior to his new album release Asta Hiroki teams up with London-based vocalist - Klaverson for ‘Rebirth’ taken from his forthcoming second solo full length via Folded Music. A rich banquet of ideas from the start, the track explodes to life with the lively jazz and breaks fusion built on a core double bass bounce, flute lines and a hummed vocal melody. Sound designed flourishes sparkle as they undulate in and out of the mix to add further magic while Klaverson muses on matters of cycles, new beginnings, and time with his poignant lyricism and touching performance. It’s a deep musical tapestry of crunchy drums, emotive piano and balanced experimental sounds to keep you engaged and intrigued throughout as these two pillars of downtempo music combine to great effect on a track brimming with excitement. Juxtaposing nostalgia-inducing sounds with an inherently modern mix is no mean feat but the producer marries them expertly in what is surely a standout from his already fantastic new record. Asta Hiroki speaks about the track: “I wanted to work with Klaverson since we crossed paths a couple of years back, he is operating in a similar breaks / jazz / electronica intersection so I was excited to give him this track as I thought of it as an important one / potential album opener and was keen to see what we could do. It fizzes about and emanates musical ideas and energy from the start which I thought would be perfect to introduce the new record. Originally this was an instrumental with a saxophone solo but I gave a different version with more space for Jack to work with. I think his additional melodic nuance and attention to detail really lifted the piece and I’m very proud of what we’ve managed to create together here.” Since his debut release in 2017 Asta Hiroki has long been considered a notable figure across multiple independent music scenes and turned heads at key tastemakers and outlets across the industry. Seeing regular support as a staple of BBC6Music, FIP, BBC, JazzFM, and KCRW. Winning further plaudits from national paper The Guardian for his composition work and XLR8R, Dummy Mag, CLASH, Magnetic Mag Exclaim! on the music media side. Not to mention the multitude of editorial placements on Spotify and AppleMusic across Jazztronica, All New Jazz, Fresh Finds, Butter, and more.
