Jimmy Gleeson on Bare-Faced Plague Spreader

I don't think you are alone in your view about de-evolutioon. My hope is that like my history teacher in a small liberal arts college in the deep south shared, we as humans tend to run societally in cycles. The one that I remember was the sensate and ideational, and I think this synchronizes with hard/soft times/people. In hard times, soft people turn to the spiritual which gives them grit and hardens them to deal with the times of great adversity. Alongside of this is people who have used material possessions to run their lives realizing the emptiness that accompanies it. I think this will be one of the huge consequences of AI taking over and disrupting a lot of lives. It will hasten to a degree the demise of seeking out earthly pleasures. Here is my counter arguement to your assertion of de-evolution. Our state runs to chaos and de devolution, but love covers a multitude of sin. If we can, as you say, learn to love more and treat others as also worthy of love, this would go a long way to countering the current trajectory.
